About

Hi, I'm Shari! I happily grow dahlias in Oliver, BC (Canada). I am a micro grower with an increasing variety of dahlia tubers. I grow flowers because gardening makes me happy, simple as that. My three daughters have joined this "jobbie" and enjoy arranging flowers and selling the stems on our front steps. Most of the tubers have been labelled by one of my girls. It's truly become a family project!

This past year, my friend Kary has joined me on this endeavor. She's an amazing gardener and true dahlia loving friend! In fact we met while casually talking about dahlias while watching our girls play sports. Kary has taken long drives up to six hours to get those unicorn varieties and has met up with people in other towns to trade tubers. She is amazing at taking and growing cuttings and is just overall obsessed by all things dahlias. She's the perfect partner to have in this little venture!

Having a cut flower garden is a simple and beautiful way to add joy to your life. Even if you just have a small backyard, growing about 12 plants will ensure that you have bunches of blooms on your table all season long! The tubers available for purchase on this site have been grown in Shari or Kary's garden.

Why the name? Well, I just happen to love owls. Finding an owl family to photograph each spring is always such a delight!

Shari is also a commercial (winery) and lifestyle photographer as well as a primary teacher. Images on the site are my own. *Images of me in the field were taken by J Cook and edited by myself.
