About

Hi, I'm Shari! I happily grow dahlias in Oliver, BC (Canada). I am a micro grower with an increasing variety of dahlia tubers. I grow flowers because gardening makes me happy, simple as that. My three daughters have joined this jobbie and enjoy arranging flowers and selling the stems on our front steps. Most of the tubers have been labelled by one of my girls. It's truly become a family project!

Having a cut flower garden is a simple and beautiful way to add joy to your life. Even if you just have a small backyard, growing about 12 plants will ensure that you have bunches of blooms on your table all season long!

Why the name? Well, I just happen to love owls. Finding an owl family to photograph each spring is always such a delight!

I'm also a commercial (winery) and lifestyle photographer as well as a primary teacher. Images on the site are my own. *Images of me in the field were taken by J Cook and edited by myself.

There are also a handful of varieties on my site grown by my dahlia friend down the street, Kary S (Bloomquist Vivian, Coseytown Penny, KA Khaleesi and Wyn's New Pastel).
